From my home to yours, raising exceptional companions for exceptional people.
Hello and welcome! I’m Becky Peterman, a devoted Miniature Poodle breeder based right here in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I’ve spent the last decade raising, nurturing, and loving Miniature Poodles—and it brings me so much joy to help families find their perfect four-legged companion. My goal is to turn out the best canine companions out there! Learn how we achieve that with the special things we do to as Miniature Poodle breeders here.
When I think about what makes this journey so rewarding, it always comes back to the dogs themselves. Miniature Poodles are more than just a breed—they’re truly special souls wrapped in curls and full of heart.
Why do I love Miniature Poodles? They’re a great size for many people – not too big and not too small. They’re about 10 to 15 inches tall and typically weigh between 10 to 15 pounds.
That’s exactly what first drew me to this breed. In the often overwhelming world of dog sizes—from tiny lapdogs to giant working breeds—Miniature Poodles are that perfect “just right.” They’re sturdy enough for play and outdoor adventure, yet compact enough to fit comfortably into everyday life, whether you live in a city apartment or a quiet country home like mine. But size isn’t even the half of it!
“Poodles are so smart! They make training much easier than the other breeds I’ve had. They excel at being great family pets, doing dog sports, and can make such good therapy dogs!”
And it’s true. Miniature Poodles have an almost uncanny ability to learn and understand. Whether it’s basic obedience, advanced tricks, or agility sports, they’re right there with you—ready, eager, and completely dialed in. I’ve worked with other breeds over the years, but none have matched the Poodle’s willingness to partner with their people.
Their intelligence also makes them incredible companions for families with kids, retirees looking for a loyal friend, or even individuals who want to train a therapy or emotional support dog. There’s a reason Poodles consistently rank among the most intelligent dog breeds in the world—they’re thinkers, feelers, and full of heart.
And let’s talk about one of the most common concerns people bring to me as a Miniature Poodle breeder: allergies.
“While there are no completely hypoallergenic dogs, Poodles are far less likely to cause allergies. This makes them a great choice for many people.”
I’m always transparent with families: no dog is 100% hypoallergenic. But Poodles, with their unique curly, non-shedding coats, are much less likely to trigger allergic reactions compared to most other breeds. This makes them an especially good option for households where someone has sensitivities, but still dreams of adding a dog to the family.
Because of their coat type, regular grooming is part of the journey. But that’s never been a drawback for me—it’s part of the bonding experience. A freshly brushed Poodle with a neat trim is a joy to behold, and my families often enjoy learning how to care for their pups in a way that keeps everyone happy and healthy.
But perhaps my favorite thing of all is what happens when the day slows down… the evening walks, the quiet moments on the porch, the snuggles by the fire.
“Poodles LOVE being with their people! They want to be involved in everything you do. It doesn’t get any better than this!”
It’s so true. These dogs don’t just live with you—they live for you. Whether it’s following you from room to room, watching your every move with soft eyes, or curling up beside you when the day is done, Miniature Poodles are relationship dogs. They crave connection, and they give it back tenfold. Discover more about how our parent dogs and how they live here.
My Breeding Philosophy
As a responsible Miniature Poodle breeder, my goal has always been to raise puppies who are healthy, well-adjusted, and ready to thrive in loving homes. I do not believe in cutting corners or producing litters without a clear purpose.
Each of my dogs is health-tested, with careful attention paid to temperament and lineage. I raise my puppies in my home—not in kennels—so they grow up surrounded by everyday sounds, people, and experiences. They’re socialized from the very beginning and are introduced to gentle handling, crate familiarity, and early potty training.
When they leave me, they’re not just puppies—they’re beloved little beings with strong foundations, ready to join your family.

Who We Raise Puppies For
My puppies go to all kinds of homes, but they all have one thing in common: they’re people looking for a deep, lasting bond with their dog.
Whether you’re a first-time dog owner, a family with children, a retired couple looking for a calm companion, or someone hoping to do therapy work with your pup, a Miniature Poodle can be the perfect match. I take the time to get to know each family, and I match puppies based on personality and lifestyle—because the right fit matters.
Located in the Pacific Northwest
I’m proud to live and raise my dogs in the lush, green landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. From misty mornings to cozy winters, this part of the country offers the perfect backdrop for a peaceful, healthy life for both dogs and people. Many of my puppies go to homes in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California, but I’ve also placed pups with loving families across the U.S.
If you’re searching for a Miniature Poodle breeder who truly understands and cherishes the breed, I’d love to talk. I’m here to answer your questions, guide you through the process, and help you find the Poodle pup that will walk into your life and change it forever.
